Nile Basin Initiative Annual Management And Progress Report for the period July 2008 – June 2009


This an annual report of the Nile Basin Initiative Institutional Strengthening Project (ISP) for the period July 2008 to June, 2009. The report includes the key results achieved during the reporting period including the three identified priority areas of improving NBI internal communication, undertaking management structure review andinitiating an early governance review in advance of institutional design study. It also includes the period’s financial performance, management and key challenges.
Public Participation Framework.


This public participation framework is designed to inform the deliberations of the development process on the role and parameters of public involvement in policy and decision making in the development and management of the River Nile by the basin countries. The framework covers different aspects of public involvement including public communication, consultations and participation. Methods and success factors for achieving public participation are also included in this framework.
Project Appraisal Document for Confidence Building and Stakeholder Involvement Project


This is a World Bank project appraisal document (PAD) and provides a comprehensive description of the Confidence Building and Stakeholder Involvement Project (CBSI). It gives detailed information on implementation arrangements, financial management, procurement, and monitoring and evaluation.
This document is considered to be a subsidiary to the Shared Vision Program (SVP) ‘Master PAD’ (January, 2003) which provides a comprehensive overview of the entire Shared Vision Program and its implementation and financial arrangements.
